CORRUPTION-A NEW FOUND THREAT TO NATIONAL SECURITY
Just last Saturday two serial blast shook the beautiful city of Hyderabad-another ghastly Act of Terror.......Every news channel & correspondent started the post mortem of the BREAKING NEWS .....everyone had his/her theories-- Gas Cylinder explosion, terror attack...n the list went on well into the night.
The first pictures of the Lumbani Park, where people just a few hours ago had been enjoying life - kids crying in their mothers laps, college students cracking jokes, people mesmerised by the beautiful LASER DISPLAY, was enough to send all of us in panic mode......
Is this what the new age is about????....is this what IT boom means?????...is this the price for Freedom????....Is this what it takes to disown radical religions & tread the path of righteousness?????
Well my guess is YES...this is the price every citizen of not just India..but the Global village needs to pay for having hopes and aspirations, of wishing to make a mark in the world arena, for having to take sides in a war of civilizations or better put as war of ideology......
My Heart Felt Condolences to the bereaved families & scared & shocked citizens of India....The only thing that can & should be done is to support the families that lost their loved ones & take lessons from the investigations that are in progress.
Just a few days ago an popular english news channel did an expose about how easy it is to get documents like an Indian PAN Card, just off the counter, like you buy your groceries, for just Rs. 200.
Most of the people are somehow unable to comprehend what i am saying right now. What difference does it make if a PAN Card is available without going to the Office or submitting documents that are false???? Even the babu's or the companies that accept the registration forms are never too keen to uphold their rules and regulations in letter & spirit......the babu thinks....whats will happen if iam a little lax in discharging my duty.....Dear Babu you are compromising the National Security.......imagine what doors you open for a Jehadi or a Terrorist by issuing him a PAN Card or any other Government Document , by discharing your duty in a lax manner or by accepting a bribe to discharge your duty, a duty for which you are paid a salary out of the taxes collected from the people????? You are compromising your motherland's security , integrity & peace, just for a few Hundred rupees...i am sure there are better ways to earn a livelihood.....
It is also my appeal to the GOI to regularise agents & touts in these businesses like Railway Bookings , PAN Card Registration, Ration Card.....etc...with regularisation comes responsiblity & then maybe if the law of the land is supreme, as we are told everytime some minsiter is accquited of murder charges or a multi-million dollar scam, all these people will not dare sell the motherland, even if they want to for money......bcoz they will fear the strict laws.......
Someone asked me the other day ..." yaar till when will we be like this, we are going to be a SUPERPOWER by 2020 " i felt like laughing at him......our GDP is wayward of 9% , but how much of this has trickled down to the grassroot i.e the villages n the common man.....till date there are a lot of villages in Bihar & UP where the power cuts extend for 8-12 hours every day......all this is due to the corrupt machinery we have that is responsible for Governing India.......n yes we plan to be a SUPERPOWER
Getting back to Corruption....today everyone wants to join the bandwagon , make an extra buck here n there.....we have lost the sense of pride & honesty our forefathers who fought the British, had for themselves & the 5000+ year old Inidan civilisation.
If we don't end the Corruption Regime we are slowly but steadily digging our grave......
Today a newspaper carried a report that it is rarely that the US has been hit on its home soil, making an exception of 9/11....but Every few months terror visits Indian shores.....we can't just brush this aside by saying that it is not possible to monitor every single person or take note of small things, that maybe helpful in averting such attacks.....if thats the case then what is the use of India being the epicentre of the global IT Revolution.....the only reason that terror has seldomly reached their homeland is that each American has a duty which they perform to the best of their capabilities without putting their self before the national security.....
In the end i would request all Indians to dischrge their duties so that many lives can be saved.......let them not get the better of us...lets unite n fight this war...our War on Terror & not expect others like the US to fight our wars..........
