My 'SIM' I Woes Part II

You will be glad to know & i am relieved to inform that finally the number which was to be disconnected has been disconnected. My father is no longer a defaulter on the list of Airtel(as if it mattered to him). But it was a fight for us...........in which we had to take the help of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India. We won & lost as well. The phone was disconnected, but i am sure the company has taken no lessons at all from it.........

JAI HIND!!!!!!

Main Hoon Naa, says R.R

The drama has started again……Raj is back in news……achieved what he has been looking out from day one of his anti-north tirade. The state is burning…..and what was the government of the state doing all the while…….. planning to take out a bill to counter such mindless violence. The basic plan of this bill is to impose a penalty on the political outfit or organisation responsible for loss not just to state property, but also to the loss of personal belongings like vehicles, shops, livelihood, disability or death.
To the common man this may seen as a good thing, as this will teach lessons to these miscreants & deter them from doing this unwanted vandalism. The government also intends to have this seen in this way only, showing that the government will not bow down & will fight such irresponsible ‘netas’.

THE REALITY- all the money fined shall come from our own pockets. We will be asked for donations or ‘chanda’, by fierce looking and drunken men entering our offices, shops & homes. All this will be done using threats or pleas or emotional blackmailing. If this doesn’t work they will use the power of the mob to extract money out of us. How many times have such anti-social elements entered your space and asked for ‘Chanda’ for conducting religious festivals in your neighbourhood. Festivals you don’t even visit, because it is organised under the aegis of the local social worker or political party ( read ‘goonda’ or ‘neta’….hardly any difference you would say)…… and how many times have you paid the money……….I guess each & everytime, because you fear a backlash that if you don’t pay they will not take it nicely. I personally have never ever paid up money too such hooligans & will never ever pay it to them………………..

Now coming back to this Bill that the Maharashtra Government has passed , I am surprised that none of the participants of debates (mostly netas & even some social celebrities or socialites) have not raised this point even once………it is understandable for netas, as they would never say that they coax money out of the public using hired mobs or goons……..and the social animals may never have been subjected to such harassment, but the news anchors are supposed to be well informed individuals……never has one of these people tried to put this point across………….but I feel it is my duty to protest against this Bill that is now a Law…………

But the government would also not dare to make amends in this because, they may also have to sit out of the government one fine day…….and then they will start this vandalism & Jungle ‘RAJ’……………

Here is a bill or legislation that may somehow prevent such draconian acts by these self appointed protectors of the ‘aam aadmi’……….

1.Any political party or organisation found to be indulging in vandalism or hate politics shall be debarred from contesting pools in that state or specific constituency.

2.The minimum qualifications required for a government minister shall be a graduate and preferably a degree/ diploma in management. The Chief minister, leader of opposition, speaker of assembly must all be atleast post graduates (also armed with an MBA degree)

3.The ministers should be well versed in the local language as well as English (the world is now a global village, our politicos don’t match up in mannerisms & charisma to those across the globe).

4.All inquires against mobs or different parties and outfits should be done by an independent judge (not a retired one, but a sitting one), who has a clean reputation.

5.Cases against such violent attacks should be registered without any delay.

6.Public trials should be conducted with the accused ‘netas’ or ‘goondas’, giving their dispositions from within the jail premises ( this will stop them from basking in the government provided free publicity they get while appearing in courts & this will also save some more public property & government resources).

There may be many other points which could be added to this list to make it fool proof.

I also hope that the state takes away this bill & introduces a more effective legislation.
